This cowl is the perfect example of how you can take simple stitches and shapes, and craft them into something unique and interesting. The Feather Lace stitch used is quite simple, but looks quite intricate. And the ribbing creates the perfect contrast to keep the femininity in check. This cowl is quite a statement piece, but is such a quick knit that you’re sure to find yourself making them for gifts!!

Some knowledge of the following would help in making this cowl: basic knit stitches, yarn overs, knitting stitches together, increasing and decreasing, ribbing, kitchener stitch, and simple sewing.

Finished Measurements:
+ finished cowl measures 28 in. long when laid flat, and neck height measures 3 1/2 in.

Washing instructions:
+ hand wash cold, lay flat to dry.
