Simple garter stitch alternates with a textured pattern in this triangular shawl knit on the bias from the tip to the widest side.

Looks best in solid colors or not too wild hand dyed yarns.

“Feel Hugged” was designed in collaboration with Malabrigo Yarns.

Materials:

  • Malabrigo Finito (100% Merino): 50g/ 200 yards [183 meters] – 6 skeins or approximately 1120 yards [1030 meters] of sport weight yarn that knits up to gauge. The sample is made in “Glitter” colorway.
  • US 4 – 3.5 mm 40” [100 cm] circular needles
  • tapestry needle

Note: Even though Malabrigo Finito is listed as a fingering weight yarn, its recommended gauge falls in the sport weight range on Ravelry’s standards chart.

One size fits all
Finished measurements: length (outer edge): 85” [216 cm]; depth: 33” [84 cm].

Gauge:
21 sts and 36 rows per 4” [10 cm] in garter stitch after blocking.
Gauge is not essential; however, with a different gauge, actual finished measurements and total yardage will change.

These photos were taken at a train cemetery hosting trains that no longer run so no trains were in motion at any time of the session. No model or carriage was hurt during the photo shoot. :)
