NOTES:

  1. This pattern was written with the beginner in mind and includes a step by step picture tutorial
  2. This pattern is written for the right handed crocheter
  3. This pattern is written in English, in US terms
  4. This pattern was designed so that you don’t have to change the number of stitches or rows to change sizes, only hooks 
  5. The colors listed are what I used to create this design but you can use any colors you’d like
  6. This does make a great scrap buster project as it uses approximately ¼ of a skein of red heart super saver yarn for each of the two colors (this includes yarn needed for the braided tassels)
  7. I have not tested this with Carron brand yarns but since Carron brand yarns do tend to be slightly thinner than red heart I do recommend going up 1 (one) hook size if you use it for this project (i.e.: for child size use an “I” hook instead of the “H” hook)
  8. This pattern has been tested with hobby lobby’s “I love this yarn” and “Crafter’s Secret” and works very well if you’d like to use of these brands instead of the red heart
  9. Numbers in parentheses are the number of stitches per round
  10. Stitches within brackets are to be repeated the numbers times stated after the bracket
  11. Starting chains at the beginning of rounds do not count as a stitch
