These thermal socks are perfect for keeping warm and are great worn with boots. Each sock is one piece worked in the round, cuff down.

Sizing is for calf and foot circumference, length of foot is completely customizable. Gauge can be tightened or loosened by using a smaller or larger hook size to further customize size. (hint: if you have a high instep use a larger hook through gusset!)

Crochet fabric is not as initially elastic as knit, so the first few times the socks are put on, they will feel tighter than they should. Never fear, the sock will stretch with wear and washing. If giving as a gift, blocking is recommended. Sock elastic can be run along with the sock yarn in cuff if so desired.

As a public service announcement: Beware of second sock syndrome, keep it from happening to you by working both socks concurrently!
