Feldspar was designed to make the most of the delicate shade palate of our linen/wool blend yarn, Lyonesse. This simple cowl starts dark and then slowly fades to the natural fawn shade, which is achieved through the use of slip stitch stripes. The design is worked in the round in a simple stitch pattern, appropriately known as Linen Stitch.

Finished Measurements:

Always use needles which result in the correct size after blocking.

Pattern Notes

The linen in the Lyonesse yarn will keep the cowl edges stable so there is no ribbed edging in the pattern. If you plan on making the pattern in a wool or Alpaca blend then we suggest adding a few rows of rib or garter stitch to both the top and bottom of the cowl. This cowl is worked in the round and all in one piece. As it is a cowl, you could easily make a more lightweight version using our Lyonesse 4-ply.
