These fun booties make great gifts, and since they work up fast, you can make lots of them. With sizes from newborn to preschoolers, they can be adapted to suit most fits and tastes. The double stranded sole adds durability and warmth, plus allows you to make lighter colored slippers with a darker sole. These slippers can also be made all in the same color. The short row shaping on the toe box is a great way to learn a new technique that doesn’t have to be perfect since you’ll be felting the slippers.

This pattern is rated intermediate for the use of short rows. It uses worsted weight wool and size 10 and 11 US needles.
