Knit and felt your own Waldorf-inspired felted dress-up crown for birthdays and pretend play. No toy cupboard is complete without one. By knitting your own, you can personalize your crown by choosing the colors and style – from princess pink to classic gold to jester stripes. This crown is quick and fun to knit and makes a marvelous, easy gift.

Pattern includes very detailed knitting instructions, definitions of stitches used and complete felting instructions for felting in your washing machine.

Materials needed:
Straight or circular knitting needle in size 10.5 (6.5 mm).
100% wool worsted weight yarn in two colors: approx. 45 grams/ 100 yards of main color and 10 grams/ 20 yards in complimentary color for band and bobbles.
2-3” of 5/8” sew-on Velcro.

Gauge: Approximately 14-16 sts = 4” (10cm) before felting. It is not necessary to get an exact gauge, but a loose knit is required to allow the yarn to felt properly.

NOTE: This pattern uses WORSTED WEIGHT 100% wool yarn. I have used many different types, including Knit Picks Wool of the Andes or Paton’s Classic Wool.
