This furry cat bed is knit from wool yarn combined with eyelash yarn. The bed and pillow are knit flat in garter stitch, so you don’t even need to know how to purl. After the knitting is finished, the bed is thrown into the wash- ing machine to felt it. The pillow is stuffed with quilt batting. What could be more luxurious for that pampered feline friend?

The trim on this felted cat bed is knit with one strand of wool and one strand of eyelash yarn held together.

Warning: If you have kittens or cats that eat strings, do not make this bed with eyelash yarn. Instead, use a faux-fur yarn that does not have long strings. Cats can sustain serious intestinal injuries and even die from eating strings.

Yarn requirements:
5 balls of Plymouth Galway Worsted (100% wool; 210 yds/100g per ball) color 150 (red
2 balls of Plymouth Colorlash (100% polyester; 220 yds/50 g) color 8 (red)

Polyester fiberfill needed for stuffing the cushion.
