These felted flowers are simple to create and make gorgeous adornment for that special hat, bag or sweater- add a pin back and it becomes a removable brooch.

This 8 page illustrated step-by-step tutorial includes all the information you’ll need to make your own beautiful bunch of peonies.

Skills including the following:
backward loop cast on
knit 1 front and back increase (k1f&b)
decrease (k2tog)
short-rows
bind off
machine felting

When using a worsted weight yarn, each finished flower is approximately 5” in diameter, and requires about 50 yards of a feltable wool yarn. If you’d like a smaller or larger bloom, simply adjust your yarn weight and needle size.
