Aline and Lindalva patterns are available in the Amipoderosas eBook, which, also, features 8 more professions: lawyer, engineer, merchant marine, lifeguard, biomedical scientist, sergeant, mailwoman and master builder!

Amipoderosas is a PDF EBOOK ONLY, which aims to
amplify representativeness and empowerment by Amigurumis!

One of our goals is to improve inclusion and representativeness through these dolls and that’s why EACH profession has TWO body patterns. As well, some dolls have specific characteristics as vitiligo, down syndrome and colostomy bag. Once you learned how to do it, you may reproduce it in any of the other dolls.

Moreover, all the hair styles and heads are interchangeable between the amigurumis. Also, you may use wire to make them poseable and we added detailed instructions of how to do a wire skeleton for the dolls. Their heads are moveable without wire and they may turn to any side you want. There are many clothe styles, accessories and hairs and you may interchange them between the dolls.

Aline is deaf, communicates through Brazilian Sign Language (Libras) and her biggest dream has always been to build houses.
Lindalva has vitiligo, which is caused by the loss of melanocytes, causing white spots on the skin. She never cared about working on the construction site but was tired of always depending on men anytime she needed something repaired.

One day, in a random conversation, the two got into this subject and realized that they had the same concerns, so they decided to join forces and – literally – get their hands dirty.
Until they became master builders, they faced a lot of challenges, since the work environments are mostly dominated by men and many of them don’t even know what it means to be kind. But that didn’t stop them. They came together and got stronger. They counted on the support of other incredible women like them to put themselves in motion.

They started with a small wall for the balcony, then went on to painting the house, then to a wall, and when they realized, they were already acting as builders, and started building many houses around. But they wanted to go further. They started taking courses and, when they realized, they were already running a company called “Elas por Elas”, that ran at full speed. With the company’s activities growing rapidly, they soon formed a team composed of other women passionate about building that performed the most diverse functions. There, in addition to building, they repaired other women’s houses, forming a large support network.
It is still not very common to see women working in this area, but Aline and Lindalva are here to show that women are very competent in whatever job they are willing to do.
