The secret to the Fen Edge Coat lies in its stylish versatility – a long and cozy length is balanced with chic textures along the cuff, button band and collar. The jacket is worked top down starting at the collar, then stitches are provisionally cast on for the shoulders. The front and back are each worked separately from this provisional cast on, and then short row shaping is used to create the shoulder shaping. At the underarm, the front and back pieces are joined to be worked in the round to the hem. The sleeve stitches are then picked up while short rows are used to create the sleeve caps and then the sleeves are worked in the round to the cuffs.
