This is a free pattern for “clog socks”. Knit from the cuff down, they have a lace pattern right down the back of the leg, and continuing on the heel flap. You could do a traditional heel flap instead, if you wish. The front of the sock is knit in stockinette, although again, you could knit the lace pattern on the front half too!

If you downloaded this pattern before 7:30 on 1/19/08, there is one mistake. The directions for the toe decrease should end like this: “Repeat these 2 rounds until you have 28 sts left, then work row 1 only until you have 16 sts left. Graft toe closed using kitchener stitch. Make a second sock!”
