Ferny is a mitten and fingerless glove pattern set written like a choose your own adventure book.

Working in the round from the wrist towards the fingers, you first choose your cuff, long or short, then work the thumb gusset, then choose mittens or fingerless gloves. The pattern is written very clearly with step by step instructions on how to create your perfect pair of gloves. They are nice and fitted to really show off the lace panel that runs up the top of the hand. The holes in the lace are offset by using bulky, alpaca yarn so in the end you still get a pair of lovely warm mittens (or gloves!)
