Knit back and forth on straight needles, all you need to know how to do is knit and purl. Which means that this might be the gift that keeps on giving--one for Grandma, one for Teacher, one for the Postmaster….you get the idea. The pattern might be plain Jane, but knit in a sumptuous silk yarn, this handmade gift would please even a princess. There are so many winter holidays each year, it’s hard to pick just one to celebrate. (I’ve always been a Christmas gal, myself.) Regardless of the holiday traditions you observe, these mitts would delight any recipient. They’re warm, practical and the yarn is so luscious, no one will suspect how simple they are to knit. The trick is figuring out how to keep a pair for yourself!
