It is amazing how quickly the temperatures can fall as soon as the sun starts to go down, even on a warm summer’s day. This is when a soft merino/cotton wrap can provide a most welcome extra layer.

The FFCT Wrap features tulip lace flowers topping tightly cabled stems and set onto a background of a slim Feather-&-Fan leaf pattern. Instructions are given for two different lengths so you can tailor the wrap to your own requirements.

PATTERN INFORMATION:

DIFFICULTY: Advanced

TECHNIQUES REQUIRED: Knitting, purling, increases, decreases, slipped stitches, cabling, yarn overs, working with long stitch chart or written instructions, and working long rows on a circular needle.

MATERIALS:
Yarn: Rowan Wool Cotton 4-ply yarn, 50% cotton, 50% merino wool, 180m/197 yds:50gm ball in Colour #484 Petal x 8 (8) balls.

Actual amount used in the Long size wrap as shown: 385gm/14 oz, 1385m/1515 yds.

Yarn substitution: To use an alternative yarn, please select a 4-ply or fingering weight yarn in a cotton/merino wool mix with a recommended gauge of 28 sts:10 cm/4 ins using 3.25mm/US #3 needles.

Needles: 3.25mm/US #3 & 3.5mm/US #4 circular needles, minimum length 60cm/24 ins.

Notions: Row counter, markers, cable needle, and tapestry needle for finishing ends.

Gauge:
​Either: 25 sts & 35 rows:4 ins/10cm in Tulip Lace Pattern using 3.5mm/US #4 needles.
Or: 28 sts & 36 rows:10cm/4 ins in Stocking Stitch using 3.25mm/US #3 needles.
