FiboNautilus uses the Fibonacci sequence to create a spiral shaped wrap. Basic stocking stitch sections are set off by eyelet edges to produce a simple yet chic look.

Level: Intermediate.

Skills required: Ability to follow written instructions and pick up and purl stitches are key. Cable cast on is used throughout, with a link to instructions for those who aren’t familiar with it.

Instruction type: Entirely written, no charts.

Yarn: FiboNautilus requires nearly 200 grams (about 730 yds) of fingering weight yarn. Instructions are given for striping with two colours but it also looks great in self-striping yarns. Solid yarns are not recommended, as they will not show off the changes in direction that occur as you knit your way around the spiral.

Note: There is much picking up of stitches but this is offset by finishing with no (zero, nada, zilch, nil) stitches to bind off and absolutely no sewing or additional finishing other than weaving in tails and blocking.

Many thanks to my testers for all their help and feedback, and to the hosts of the Two Tangled Skeins podcast for introducing the pattern to their viewers.
