The Fibre & Fellowship group at Lockport Mennonite Church was contacted by the Caring Christians about making prayer shawls/wraps for people who are going through some rough times. I started looking and dreaming and decided to write up some patterns. This shawl is the first of my prayer patterns and is based on the Feather and Fan or Old Shale lace pattern. I think it looks like waves lapping at the beach or the bubbling water of a quiet stream. ~ Blessings to you and the recipient of this garment, JM Cobb

Details:
Difficulty: Medium (Sl1, K, P, K2tog, YO)
Needles: Size 10 (I used a 24” circular, but you can use straights if you prefer)
Yarn: 600 yards of worsted weight
2 stitch markers (optional: I find it helpful to place a marker three stitches in from each end to mark where the lace pattern is worked.)
1 needle for weaving in ends
Gauge: Not really important (as long as you are getting a nice drape to your garment).
Size: 15”x 60” approx.
