In spring, when gentle winds stir and the days grow longer, nature slowly awakens. Some trees begin to blossom even before the first hint of green appears. Among them is the Judas tree, a rather short tree with a curved trunk that bursts into bloom with the season’s first warmth. Tiny magenta flowers spring directly from its branches and trunk, creating a striking display. The delicate cables in these socks are reminiscent of those blossoms, evoking the charm of the Judas tree in early spring.

Fico moro socks are knit cuff down with a heel flap. Delicate cabled pattern covers the leg and the instep. The instructions are written for the Magic Loop method.

Yarn requirements
Quince & co Starling (75 % superwash Merino, 25 % recycled polyamide, 200 m / 50 g).
1 (2, 2) 2 skeins or 185 (244, 309) 370 m / 203 (267, 338) 405 yds of fingering weight yarn.
Shown in color Magenta.
Please note that any changes made to the leg or foot length will affect the amount of yarn needed.

Gauge
32 sts x 48 rnds = 10 cm /4” with 2.25 mm (US 1) needles in stockinette st after blocking.

Needles
2.25 mm (US 1) – 100 cm / 40” circular needles, or as required to obtain gauge.

Optional: st markers for pattern repeats, sock blocker(s).
