Editor’s Notes:

  1. Three separate Strips are worked, each in 5 different st patterns.
  2. Strips are sewn tog, then a border is worked from sts picked up along the outside edges of the Afghan.
  3. Leaves are worked separately, then sewn to completed Afghan.
  4. A circular needle is used for borders to accommodate the number of sts. Work back and forth on the circular needle as if working on straight needles.
  5. When you see “– 12 sts” in the instructions, this lets you know how many sts you will have at the end of that specific row.
  6. If you have difficulty in working the pfb (purl into front and then back of the same st) try purling into the back and then the front of the st – some people find this easier!
