This is an easy pattern for beginners just learning how to knit in the round. It works up very fast with the bulky yarn.

I am the queen of single skein stash. Whenever I am yarn shopping, I find something interesting and then only buy one skein of it, usually without any idea of what I will do with it. This adorable skein of 50g of bulky yarn has been sitting in my stash for a while until I finally hit upon the perfect use for it. A large headband to cover my ears during the “shoulder seasons” between summer and winter.

This pattern has some negative ease to stay on your head. The size measurements are for your actual head circumference not the finished object.

Also, note that the needle size is intentionally much smaller than what is usually used with super bulky yarns. This is to create a dense fabric.
