Fifty Shades of Any Colour
This was originally a mystery KAL - March 29th, 2013 “reveal date”. The pattern is still in the original format - you won’t need to print all the pages.
Threads in the stitchnerds group - one thread for getting ready and then one for each section.
The idea was to make a scarf with approx. 150yds of handspun (I wanted to make something other than a cowl with that amount).
So, you’ll need a minimum of 150yds/135m of handspun - or any other special yarn. It works particularly well if the special yarn has a self-striping effect.
You’ll also need about 200-250yds/180-220m of a toning MC to go with it.
Yarn weight doesn’t matter - just use a suitable needle size. There can even be a difference of one weight between the yarns - either way.
The pattern uses fairly basic stitches and could be made by a determined beginner.
yo (yarn over)
kfb (knit front and back)
k2tog (knit 2 together)
You’ll also need to make a garter tab (link and specific instructions provided - if you’ve never made one before, don’t worry it’s easy to learn).
