This stylish headband can be knitted in cotton, bamboo, wool or man-made DK yarn, to suit any season and any size. It is worked in one piece, widening as the eyelet pattern changes from panels of two eyelets, to four eyelets, then six and back again, tapering neatly to a single seam.

The Filet Lace Shaped headband pattern is suitable for knitters with some experience of: knit, purl, slip and knit through back loop stitches, make one left and right, yarn round needle and yarn over increases, slip slip knit and knit 2 together decreases. The pattern contains links to additional support on stitch variations and working with yrn/yo.

In the photographs, my model has a 56cm (22 inch) head size and is wearing:
The pink band which measures 50cm. (3.75mm needles and 22g/46m of Patons Cotton DK)
The white band which measures 50cm. (3.5mm needles and 22g/46m Wendy Supreme Cotton DK.)
