All pieces begin with a simple garter stitch filigree edging. For mitts, stitches are picked up along th edgning and knitted in the round on the same size double point needles. The Cowl is knitted flat on a larger circular needle, after stitches are picked up from edging.

Originally designed with worsted weight handspun using a mohair blend roving that creates a lovely halo in the finished pieces. Berroco Flicker, Rowan Lima, and Classic Elite Inca Alpaca would be great commercial alternatives. Spinning information is included.
