Filipa is a cross‐body bag crocheted in single crochet sticthes.
I got a growing pile of cotton yarn in various colors and
quantities (from places like markets, yarn shops or thrift
stores), and I’m like, hmm what to do? So I match up colors
for a couple of ideas, and this is one of them. Since I have 2
balls of navy, 1 ball each of red, white and blue, I made a
simple stripe pattern with the same propotion. But you can
make any kind of stripes you want. Then I use a black fabric
with wax finish to make the shoulder strap and tabs. The
metal button was an extra from a pair of jeans that I owned.
The snap hooks are from free key chains that i got from
somewhere. The idea is to use every material that I can find
at home!

Detailed instructions of how to make this bag, with all crocheting and sewing, are included in this pattern.
