Crochet a soft action figure inspired by the Final Fantasy video game’s White Mage. Makes a fast, easy, cute gift for the gamer in your life. Team it with my Black Mage and Red Mage doll patterns for more 8-bit cuteness.

Finished Mage is about 3.5 inches (9 cm) tall. Doll stands on its own. You will need an E/3.5 mm hook, worsted-weight yarn, 8 mm black oval eyes (or black yarn), stuffing, and weighted filling for base such as gravel or plastic pellets.

Pattern is for those with beginning to intermediate crochet skills and basic needle-work skills. Parts are made in spiral rounds. To make doll, you will need to know how to:
-- read a crochet pattern
-- chain
-- single crochet
-- single crochet decrease or invisible decrease
-- spike stitch
-- optional: magic adjustable loop

Pattern includes:
-- definitions of stitch abbreviations
-- materials list, including recommended yarn and where to find materials
-- instructive photos
-- links to helpful online crochet tutorials
