A traditional top-down triangle shawl, Finchmere has textured stripes that are echoed in color stripes worked in Reverse Stockinette stitch, giving a woven effect. A garter stitch border edges the bottom of the shawl.

Large, light and warm, this is a great piece to lay over your shoulders or scrunch around your neck.

The finished shawl has generous measurements: a wingspan of 57” after blocking, and a back length of 28” after blocking.

You will need two skeins of Cloudborn Fibers’ Highland Fingering, one in each of two colors, OR 494 yards in each of two colors of another fingering weight yarn. The sample is shown in Taupe (light) and Stone (dark),

A US size 4 (3.5mm) 32” circular needle is needed as well. Two removable stitch markers and a tapestry needle round out the materials list.

The instructions are written out, section by section.
