EDIT 25/02/17: Pattern has now been updated! I hope you enjoy the new formatting, video tutorial link for the flower stitch, and photo direction on how to size your toe-up socks for best fit. Please get in contact with me if you didn’t receive the update or have any questions!

The Fine and Dandy Socks were inspired by Spring. These socks are pretty and delicate, the perfect wardrobe accessory for floaty skirts and sweet sandals. Once you’ve learnt the basic stitch pattern, you will love watching your little flowers grow!

Scissors
Tapestry needle

GAUGE
30 stitches x 48 rounds = 10cm (4”) in flower stitch (see STITCH HELP, page 2) on 2.25mm (US 1) needles, knit in the round, relaxed after blocking.

NOTES
-Instructions are written for the Magic Loop method of working in the round, with a toe-up sock construction.

-Instructions are to be worked from the beginning to end of each round, unless instructions are specified for stitches on first needle of the round (N1; top of foot/front of leg), and second needle of the round (N2; sole of foot/back of leg) separately.

-A toe-up cast on, such as Judy’s Magic Cast On, and a stretchy bind off, such as Jeny’s Surprisingly Stretchy Bind Off, are recommended for beginning and finishing your socks. You will also need to know how to work short rows by wrapping stitches.

-Stitch counts are written for Small Size with {Medium/Large} Size stitch count in brackets.

The Fine and Dandy Socks pattern is the second of an ongoing project called The Dollar Store Collection. This is a series of patterns which will each cost just $1 USD, with all proceeds to be donated to a nominated charity (currently UNICEF).

Instructions are provided in written format.
