Fingerless mitts on needles 5 (US 8). I designed the stitch after figuring out how many stitches would be needed. It worked out well.

I used a self striping yarn in beautifully warm winter colors. It’s fun to knit and see how different and yet together both mitts turn out.

The design is for an average size hand. The length of the mitts is 7.9 inch / 20 cm.

What you need is four double pointed knitting needles number 5 (US 8) and about 110 yd / 100 m of yarn.
