Finley is a sweet little pixie hat knitted in scrumptious 8 ply yarn. Patterned with seed or moss stitch for texture and an extended pixie point for a bit of fun and whimsy. This
little hat is a simple knit for beginners and experts alike. I hope you enjoy knitting it as much as I enjoyed designing it.

It is sized for a newborn through to a 48 month old child.

SIZING HELP

As a guide for you the bub in the spearmint green hat is 11 months old and he is little, and he has a little head. He is wearing a 6M to 12M hat, so he has plenty of room still left in his hat.

The little girl in the turquoise hat is also in a 6M to 12M hat and she is 9 months of age and she has a normal head circumference for a child of her age.

The little man in the charcoal hat is in the largest size hat 24M up to 48M. He is nearly 3 and his Mum tells me there was plenty of room in his hat when it was bowed up under his chin. At this age, there is not a huge change of head size.

The gorgeous girl in the mauve Finley is 3.5 yrs. She is in a 24M to 48M hat and she again is tiny, so she will have loads of time in her hat and her Mum says it will probably last her through to a 5 yr old. She is a little petite girl. I then knitted her another FINLEY in pink also pictured in the size down 12M to 24M and it’s a perfect fit.

These hats have lots of stretch and generous in size. The moss or seed stitch is a great stitch for stretchiness. I wanted to show you the different ages and sizes so you can see the variation in size. I hope that helps with your knitting.

Remember children only grow in one direction and that’s bigger, so if you get a couple of years out of a size, that’s a bonus.
