The Story
I have the great honor of having a colorway named after me - the SoCalMeaghan Special by Black Market Wool. So when I started to plan what to make with it I knew it had to be something that was very me but also very special since there’s cashmere in this blend.

As a shark super-fan it only seemed appropriate to design something that incorporated something that was “sharky”. I think the shapes in this cowl look like shark fins - and thus the Finly Cowl was born (or perhaps hatched, as might be more appropriate).

Recommended Yarn(s):

  • Black Market Wool Costello (fingering weight; 80% superwash merino, 10% nylon, 10% cashmere; 400 yds/100g skein): 1 skein SoCalMeaghan Special

Notes
This pattern includes directions for a cowl, knit in the round, in two sizes: a neckwarmer (Small, modeled) and an infinity cowl (Large).

Instructions in parentheses are for size Large; when only one set of instructions is given, it applies to both sizes.
