Fíorghrá - means true love in Irish.

In many of our Celtic legends we hear stories of true love and the trials and sorrows that had to be overcome for true love.

Fíorghrá brings together these elements and unites them all in a lace beaded scarf.

The intertwining hearts that run the length of Fíorghrá are made up of beaded tear drop shapes; forever joining romance with tragedy.

Starting off from a crochet provisional cast on (details given); visually the intertwining hearts run up the side of the scarf for one side, stitches are then picked up and the other side is worked so that the intertwining hearts join and come together to meet in the middle.

The ends on either side are open beaded loops which give a gentle, scalloped, feminine look and add to the romance of this pattern.
