Fiori Socks feature a delicate floral lace and are adorned with a picot cuff. They are perfect for lounging around and dreaming. The floral lace is very easy to knit in the round. Pattern instructions come in three sizes. You can choose between short or usual length socks. The foot and leg length is adjustable. The socks are worked in the round from the toe up.
For both samples, I used a subtly speckled hand-dyed Sock Merino by Woollala. This yarn is a light fingering merino and nylon blend which results in a smooth and soft fabric. You can use any light fingering weight sock yarn in solid, semi-solid, or slightly speckled colorways.
This pattern has written and charted instructions and contains helpful links to techniques used.

Finished measurements: 7 (8, 9)”/ 18 (20.5, 23) cm finished foot circumference.

Materials:

  • Yarn: 1 skein of light fingering weight yarn that knits up to the gauge, approx. 300 yds/ 274 meters. The sample was knit using Sock Merino by Woollala (459yds/ 420m in 100 grams; 75% Merino /25% Nylon). For the gray socks The Unicorn Trail colorway was used and for the yellow ones the Poloniny colorway.
  • Suggested needles: US 1 (2.25 mm) circular needles. Always use a needle size that will result in the correct gauge after blocking.
  • Notions: stitch markers, darning needle.

Gauge: 34 Stitches and 44 rows = 4”/ 10 cm after blocking with US 1 (2.25mm) needles in Stockinette Stitch.

Skills involved: Knitting and purling, in the round, increases and decreases, yarn-overs, short rows.
