Fireball came to life during the cold, white winter we’re enjoying in Rhode Island this year. Knit flat from end to end with a garter and purl pattern to keep things interesting. Buttons along one edge give you the option of wearing it as a cowl when you really need that extra bit of cold protection. Knit it up in your favorite bright, cheery color!
The Miss Babs K2 is wonderfully soft and squishy and comes in a variety of colors. There’s bound to be one you like! I used up just about the whole skein except for a few yards so if you substitute another yarn, be mindful of yardage.
I made my own buttons using quilting cotton and a covered button kit. Amazing what you find on hand when you really don’t want to go out in the cold. I am very happy with how they came out and they seem made for this colorway.
I have to admit that I had the Pitbull song Fireball going through my head while knitting this. The colorway I used is also called Fireball. So, I think this scarf/cowl kinda named itself!
