Notes:

  1. This pattern is written with the beginner in mind, but I do recommend you be a confident beginner
  2. This pattern is written in US terms for the right handed crocheter
  3. This pattern contains lots of pictures to help you along
  4. This pattern is written to accommodate 3 sizes: toddler (age 1-3, fits up to 18” head circumference), small child (age 4-6), large child (age 7-10). Pictures were taken creating the largest size to ensure best photography of stitches 
  5. This is a 2 for 1 pattern! The Fireman hat is made so that it can be attached to the puppy hat just like Marshall or they can wear it separately!
  6. This pattern was tested using only RHSS and Hobby Lobby’s I Love This Yarn. Please pay close attention to gauge is you use ILTY. If you are a tight crocheter you will need to go up one hook size using the ILTY white. The white in this brand does not work up the same gauge as RHSS. The RED however does match up perfectly with RHSS Super Saver Cherry Red
  7. Gauge: 13 hdc sts = 4”, 10 rows = 4”
  8. Chains at beginning of rounds do not count in st count
  9. Numbers in parentheses at end of round is number of sts for the round
  10. Colored Numbers in parentheses at beginning of rounds indicate number of sts to use for size
  11. Finished product: wash in cold or luke-warm water, tumble dry on low heat or lay flat to dry
