First Crush is a versatile scarf that can be worn buttoned up to keep your neck warm OR worn with just one buttoned edge, creating a draped shawlette that rests just off the shoulders.

Inspired by the grape vines that saturate the Walla Walla Valley’s Wine Country. Winding cables and plump bobbles travel up the length of this pretty cabled scarf, mimicking the end-of-summer grapes ripening on the vines.

Designed in Julie Asselins GORGEOUS “Leizu DK”, a Merino and Silk blend with simply delicious variegated tones that wash over the fiber like a watercolor painting.

This pattern showcases handdyed DK weight wonderfully, but a worsted weight would work equally well, showing off the cablework even more so. Note: You will need extra yardage however when using worsted weight as well as a size larger needles.
