When I created the pattern for this collar, I wanted something simple, practical, and elegant. Not too cumbersome, but also quite covering, this is a great accessory to have when you’re wearing a scoop-neck blouse and it gets a little chilly.

Skills needed:
-Cast on
-Knit and purl
-Yarn over (yo)
-Knit through front and back (kfb)
-Decreases: knit two together and purl two together (k2tog and p2tog)
-Bind off

Materials needed:
• 1 worsted weight yarn (About 190 yards or possibly less.)
• 1 pair of US 7 (4.5 mm) straight needles
• Stitch Markers (4)
• Tapestry needle (for weaving in ends)
• 5 buttons (either 3/4” or 7/8”)
