This is great for a first project beyond scarves and accessories. It’s also perfect for your first time using circular needles.

Red Heart Super Saver or another worsted-weight yarn.
XS and S need 2 skeins (one in main color, one in second color).
M and L need 3 skeins (two in main color).

XS (30”)
S (33”)
M (36”)
L (39”)

The finished measurements will be much smaller than the wearer’s real measurements.

Skills Needed:
Cast-on, knit, purl, KFB (knit 1 front and back), K2tog, bind-off.

This is one of the most basic tops you can find. Personalize it however you’d like! You can do stripes, add cables, change stitch patterns, or keep it exactly the way it’s written. The choice is yours! This makes a great beach cover-up, too.
