Fischer will look best if the hat fits a touch on the loose side; if the hat is tight and has to stretch to fit over the head, the fish bone motif won’t read as clearly. So be careful to get the correct gauge, and keep those floats loose!
Choose high contrast colors for the best results.
Important: For making a baby-sized hat, you will need yarn and needles that work up to a gauge of 8 sts per inch in chart pattern. This is because the chart repeat is quite wide, so the best way to get a 16.5” hat is to knit in a finer yarn.
