One of the first things I’ve ever knit for myself! Styled after fisherman, or aran, sweaters, and with inspiration from the book Aran Knitting, this poncho is sure to keep anyone in it warm and cozy during cold months. Worked from the top down, it can be adjusted for any length needed, and will fit women sizes S-L comfortably.

This poncho is full of cables! Cables are not as tricky as they look, but it is advised you are familiar with cable techniques before beginning this project.

Supplies:
• Approximately 1,500-2,000 yards worsted weight yarn (sample was make with acrylic “value yarn” from Michael’s in an off-white color. Finished size was 29” long from the bottom of the collar to the edge of the bottom, the circumference around the bottom was about 64”, with plenty of stretch room)
• size US 8 needles (size 16” and 32” circular)
• yarn needles
• stitch markers
