Please note that there is a section of stockinette missing from the head section in the pattern. Right before working the short rows section work 10 (12) rounds of stockinette stitch. There is also a tip on working the slipstitch pattern. Click on the ERRATA link above for details.

I was inspired by the fish hat craze as led by Thelma Egbert’s design Fish Hat, and a slipstitch pattern that looked like scales when I made these silly hats.

You won’t need rods and reels to catch these whoppers.
