“Fjord” is a pretty winter set consisting of cowl and hat. The design have been inspired by Scandinavian colour work.

Both pieces are knitted in the round and have the same colour pattern. Textured sections have been also incorporated to add more interest.
The size of the cowl can easily be adjusted by casting on different number of stitches and the hat has been designed to fit range of head sizes.

“Fjord” is knitted in a light DK (sport) cashmere yarn and it only requires 1 skein of each colour (2 x 200 yards per skein), making it an affordable luxury.
The sample shown is knitted in Skein Queen Opulent 100% Mongolian cashmere (200yards/55g) in “Plumberry” dark purple and “Plum Lilac” light pink.

“Fjord” can be knitted in other yarns of similar weight.
This design is very simple to execute even by knitters who have little experience with stranded colour-work. There are only 9 rows of it and the actual pattern is very easy to memorise.
