HOW IT IS WORKED
The flag is crocheted with a unique, tunisian-like stitch called the Linked stitch, which results in long stitches and fewer rows. Instructions for how to work this stitch are included in the pattern. The Star of David is then surface crocheted at the center with the help of a printable template and some clever tips. Then the dowel is connected, and both fringe and two special tassels are added to give a nod to the Jewish tallit, or prayer shawl, that inspired the Israeli flag.
