Flagstones is a textured cowl worked in the round. The pattern builds from a rib check border, adding occasional rows of purled double decreases and yarn overs for added dimension.

Two cast-on numbers are provided. First, for a loose-fitting cowl which requires a full 250-yard skein of DK weight yarn. Second, for a closer-fitting cowl which requires a full 210-yard skein of worsted weigh yarn. The pattern can be adapted to different dimensions, yarn quantities, or yarn weights.

A fiber content that responds well to blocking is recommended. A warning to those who don’t like to purl: the pattern is made up of approximately 75% purl stitches.

For written instructions print Pages 1-2.
For charted instructions print Pages 1 and 3.
