Because each “flame” has it’s own bobbin in this modified intarsia technique, the mittens can be worked in the round. The main color continues to be worked as usual when working in the round, while each bobbin of contrast color zig zags across the wrong side of the fabric. Because each contrast color section only has a few stitches, the floats are not long on the wrong side.

The multi pli of this luxurious alpaca yarn help disguise any irregular stitches in your colourwork. Plus it is an absolute dream to knit and a gift for hands to enjoy. With so many colours to choose from, your flames can suit any whim and make a perfect personal gift for you and your loved ones.
