The delicate lace pattern and scalloped hem are embellishing this feminine A-shaped top.

  • This top is worked in the round from the bottom up to the underarms. The upper body is worked back and forth; shoulders are seamed using the 3-needle BO technique.
  • German short-rows are used for shoulder shaping. Knitters also could use any other short-row method of their choice.
  • Alternate skeins of yarn every two rows to blend the hand-dyed yarn.

Sizes:
Women’s XS (S, M, L, XL, 2XL): to fi t bust 28/30 (32/34, 36/38, 40/42, 44/46, 48/50) inches 71/76 (81/86, 91/96, 102/107, 112/117, 122/127) сm.

Finished Measurements:
34.5 (36.25, 40.75, 44.5, 48.5, 53) inches / 88 (92, 104, 113, 123, 135) cm bust circumference. Shown in size M (40.75”/104 cm) on 37”/94 cm bust with 3.75”/9.5 cm of positive ease.

Gauge:
23 sts and 36 rows = 4’’ in Reverse Stockinette stitch
on size US 4 (3.5 mm) needle, after blocking.

Needles
Size US 4 (3.5 mm): 32” (80 cm) and 16” (40 cm)
circular. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions
Markers, removable marker or safety pin, tapestry needle, waste yarn or stitch holders.

Materials:
Fingering weight yarn (approximate amounts): 1075
(1120, 1186, 1350, 1488, 1552) yards 968 (1008, 1067, 1215, 1339, 1397) m.
For the sample I have used Baah Yarn La Jolla (100% Superwash Merino; 400 yds/115 g): Garden party - 3 (3, 3, 4, 4, 4) skeins.

Difficulty: Intermediate. Techniques: ssk, k2tog, CDD, following charts, 3-needle BO.
