Inspired by the three-toed tracks of South American flamingos, these top-down socks feature a simple rib-and-twisted-stitch pattern and a flap heel.

Pattern calls for 1 skein of light fingering weight sock yarn of your choice and US 1 / 2.25 mm needle. A smaller or larger size can be achieved by using smaller or larger needles.

Flamingo Tracks stitch pattern is charted with a key, the rest of the pattern is written.

Pattern assumes some familiarity with basic top-down sock construction, so if you haven’t knit some before, I recommend checking out the awesome Knitty tutorial available here.

Much thanks to my intrepid test knitters Angelina13 and prettynsocks for their invaluable assistance!
