From Knitting New Scarves:

The flaps in this scarf remind me of Venetian blinds that open and close to reveal or hide what lies behind them. As the scarf moves and wraps around the neck, its flaps reveal and hide the background yarn. There are two tails from each of the flaps to weave in, and some knitters may balk at that. But I think tail-weaving is the perfect task for times when I want to use my hands without testing my mind.

Requires three US 10 1/2 double-pointed or short straight needles.
