This Flared Scarf flared from 3” to 7” wide and 65” long, extra long to fold in half for added versatility. Or it can be made shorter. The pattern has the look for columns and horizontal textures. The choice is yours. It is a combination of Knits and Purls with some increases and decreases. Starting with more stitches then reducing to a lesser amount for a specified length, then flared it out again to complete the other end. The original yarns used to make the scarf is Kraemer Tatamy DK or Perfections DK. Plus a 9” Straight Needle size 8. No additional supplies are needed. It takes around 260 yards of yarn which could take between 1 and 2 skeins of yarn depending on its put up. A light colored solid yarn shows is design the best. Darker Yarn of one with a print or tweed would work too, just remember that the darker or busier yarns don’t always show the design at its best.
