Fling is a beautiful scarf knit flat as a asymmetrical triangle. It is a very easy knit using only garter stitch (knit stitch) and very basic lace. Pattern gives instructions for fingering weight yarn and it works just as beautifully in wool and cotton.

It is knit alternating broad bands of garter stitch and striped garter knit with a 6 row lace pattern between the two.

Although a very easy and fast knit, its design of garter stitch, stripes and lace allows for lots of personal colour creativity and Fling can be as individual as you want to make it. Making fling is a great opportunity to dig into your stash and use up some left over scrap yarn from previous projects.

It’s the perfect length and with its pretty picot edges along two of its edges it looks gorgeous tied around your neck and shoulders.

Version française/French version now available! A huge thank you for Yana Petrova of Artfil Yarns for translating Fling into French
