Pattern Information:
Approximate Hours to Complete: 15-20 hours
Tools: ≥80cm/32” circular needle one-two sizes smaller than recommended for chosen yarn weight (or double-pointed needle one-two sizes smaller than recommended for chosen yarn weight), tapestry needle, one stitch marker.
Materials: 150-200m/164-218 yds any main colour yarn you like, 50m/54 yds contrasting colour for beak, small amount of white yarn for eyeballs, black embroidery thread/yarn or safety eyes for pupils, stuffing, optional: small amount of eyelash yarn for eyelashes.
Total Meterage/Yardage: 350-475m/383-519 yds
Gauge: Gauge is not important. Simply knit on needles one-two sizes small than recommended for your chosen yarn weight so the stuffing does not show through.
Difficulty: advanced beginner – increasing, decreasing, knitting in the round using the Magic Loop Method, short rows.
